About this event
This point-to-point adventure traverses some of Wales' most dramatic landscapes, running from the rugged Black Mountains to the heart of Brecon Beacons National Park. The route takes runners across open ridgelines, through forested valleys, and over remote peaks — classic Welsh trail running at its finest. Four distances cater to different ambitions: a challenging 50-mile ultra, a 32-mile option, a full marathon, and a half marathon that loops through the village of Llangynidr. The longer routes start high in the Black Mountains and journey deep into the Beacons, while the half offers a more contained but still scenic challenge. All routes are well-marked and supported with regular checkpoints, making navigation straightforward even on this wild terrain. The course demands respect — expect significant elevation and exposed sections — but rewards with some of the best mountain views in South Wales.
