The Bison Ultra-Trail runs through one of Poland's most remarkable natural landscapes, where ancient forests meet centuries of cultural heritage. The course winds through 126,000 hectares of pristine taiga — the only boreal forest of its kind in Poland — connecting the vast Augustów and Białowieża woodlands. Runners pass traditional villages, roadside shrines, Orthodox churches, and even a mosque, reflecting the region's unique multicultural character. Six distances from 10km to 103km welcome everyone from complete beginners to experienced ultra runners. The gently rolling forest paths and glades make the shorter routes an inviting introduction to trail running, while the 103km offers a true wilderness journey through Poland's second-largest landscape park and its 21 nature reserves.
