ATW Bristol Triathlon
About this event
The Bristol Triathlon offers a rare chance to race through one of the UK's most characterful cities on fully closed roads. Starting with a swim in the Cumberland Basin, athletes then cycle beneath the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge on a traffic-free Portway before finishing with a riverside run along the Avon. The mass-start format creates an electric atmosphere, while the car-free course makes it particularly appealing for those newer to road cycling. Sprint and Standard distances are available, along with Aquabike variations for swimmers and cyclists who prefer to skip the run. The urban setting brings crowds and energy that road races sometimes lack, making this feel more like a city celebration than a typical triathlon.
