Arundel & South Downs Way Winter Trails

About this event

This point-to-point winter trail adventure follows the South Downs Way from Heyshott to Arundel, finishing near the town's medieval castle. The routes traverse classic English countryside — rolling hills, river valleys, open fields, and even a suspension bridge. Designed by trail runners who know these paths well, the courses are fully marked and supported with coach transport to the start and bag drop services. Winter conditions mean runners need to pack appropriate kit, but the reward is experiencing the Downs at their most atmospheric. Instead of a traditional medal, participants have the option to plant a tree. Two distances available: a marathon and a 15-miler.
