Allgäu Trail

The Allgäu Trail takes runners into the rugged mountains around Oberstdorf, one of Germany's most dramatic alpine settings. Two routes are on offer: a 28km course with 1,496 metres of climbing, and a demanding 55km option that ascends 3,415 metres through high-alpine terrain. The longer distance requires solid mountain experience and confidence on technical trails, where steep ascents and rocky descents define the challenge. Set against the backdrop of the Allgäu Alps, this September event delivers sweeping views and genuine alpine atmosphere. Oberstdorf itself is a renowned hub for mountain sports, making it the ideal base for a weekend of serious trail running.
