About this event

The Adamello Ultra-Trail explores the wild landscapes of Stelvio and Adamello Natural Parks in the Italian Alps, where mountain trails wind past historic military fortifications from the First World War. Four distances cater to different ambitions: a 37km route with 1,980 metres of climbing, a 59km middle distance with nearly 4,000 metres of gain, a 97km option tackling close to 6,000 metres, and the flagship 167km loop that ascends over 11,000 metres. The terrain is technical and unrelenting, demanding solid mountain running experience and comfort with sustained vertical effort. Set against the dramatic Adamello massif, this late-September event combines raw alpine beauty with layers of twentieth-century history, creating one of the more serious undertakings in the Italian trail calendar.
