The Drop takes urban navigation to its limits. Participants surrender their phones, get blindfolded, and are driven to an unknown location somewhere around Manchester. The challenge? Find the way back on foot using nothing but instinct, problem-solving, and determination. No GPS, no compass, possibly a map — the event strips away modern conveniences to test mental resilience as much as physical endurance. With 10 or 15-mile options, runners tackle city streets, suburban paths, and country lanes while piecing together where they are. There are no checkpoints or aid stations, making this a raw test of self-reliance. It's an unconventional challenge for experienced runners seeking something beyond typical race formats.
