Set in the Tuscan hills around Licciana Nardi, Taverone Bike & Trail offers runners a taste of northern Italy's rugged Apennine terrain. The event features three distinct trail options: a challenging 51km route with 1480m of climbing for seasoned runners, a 25km middle-distance option with 800m of elevation gain, and a gentler 6km trail walk for those wanting to explore the landscape at a more relaxed pace. The courses wind through the characteristic countryside of the Lunigiana region, where medieval villages and mountain ridges create a distinctive backdrop. While the longer distances demand solid trail experience, the variety of routes makes it possible for different abilities to share the day.
