The Metropolitan Sky Run takes vertical racing to the heart of Barcelona, inside the striking Hyatt Regency Tower. Runners tackle 569 steps across 29 floors, climbing 105 meters to reach a panoramic dome overlooking the city. The format is refreshingly flexible — competitors choose their own start time between 9 AM and 1 PM, and even pick their own pump-up song for the climb. Teams of three or more can compete together, with the top three times counting toward the group result. It's a compact, intense challenge that distills the essence of stair racing into one fierce vertical effort, rewarded with sweeping views at the finish.
