Maga Circe Marathon

The Maga Circe Marathon connects two coastal towns south of Rome along the Tyrrhenian Sea, with the full marathon starting at San Felice Circeo's harbor and finishing in Sabaudia's main square. The paved 42-kilometer route rolls gently through three protected dune areas, gaining just 180 meters while hugging the coastline. Runners seeking variety can opt for the 29-kilometer route, which branches through Circeo National Park's forest trails with some gravel sections. Shorter distances include a 10.6-kilometer race and a family-friendly 2.5-kilometer walk, all finishing in Sabaudia. Aid stations serve local buffalo mozzarella, and February's mild Mediterranean temperatures make for comfortable running conditions along this scenic stretch of protected coastline.
