Set in Northern Ireland's stunning Tollymore Forest Park, the Granite Peaks Races offer three challenging mountain distances that attract serious runners from across the region. The 80K and 50K courses serve as qualifiers for the IMRA team selection for the Canfranc World Championships, adding competitive edge to an already demanding day. The 25K provides a slightly shorter but still substantial mountain challenge. Organized by the Northern Ireland Mountain Running Association, these races showcase the rugged beauty of the Mourne Mountains, with granite peaks and forest trails creating a memorable backdrop. Staggered start times (6 AM for 80K, 9 AM for 50K, 11 AM for 25K) mean runners can soak in the atmosphere throughout the day.
