The GF Città di Ragusa offers a serious challenge through Sicily's baroque heartland. Starting from the UNESCO-listed hilltop city of Ragusa, runners tackle either the demanding 122km Granfondo or the 98km Mediofondo route through the Hyblaean Mountains. The courses wind through ancient stone-walled trails, past carob groves and wild valleys that have defined this rugged landscape for millennia. With significant elevation and technical terrain, these distances are designed for experienced trail runners ready to test themselves in one of Sicily's most distinctive regions. The event captures the raw, sunbaked character of southern Italy, where limestone plateaus meet deep gorges and every turn reveals another layer of history carved into the land.
