Set in the heart of Tuscany, this trail race winds through the medieval hilltop village of Monteriggioni, where ancient stone walls and cypress-lined paths create a stunning backdrop. Runners tackle either the challenging 50km route with 1,250m of climbing through rolling countryside, or the 23km option that still delivers a solid taste of Tuscan terrain with 650m of elevation. The courses explore vineyard trails, forest paths, and historic farmland, offering glimpses of the region's timeless landscape. While the longer distance demands solid mountain experience, the shorter route suits confident trail runners ready to test themselves on technical terrain. Spring timing means mild temperatures and wildflowers beginning to dot the hillsides.
