Starting and finishing at Uppsala's historic castle, this October marathon takes runners through one of Sweden's most beautiful university cities on a fast, single-lap course mixing smooth asphalt and hard-packed gravel. The route winds through lush landscapes and historic streets before returning to the vibrant city centre, where local crowds line the route. With a half marathon, full marathon, and four-person relay on offer, the event draws a strong competitive field, helped by cash prizes for top finishers. After crossing the line, runners gather at the castle for live music and local food — as much a celebration of Uppsala as a racing challenge.
