About this event
The Drop strips away the familiar framework of organized running events and replaces it with genuine adventure. Participants hand over their devices, board a bus blindfolded, and get dropped at an unknown location somewhere around York. From there, runners navigate back on foot — either 10 or 15 miles — using only their wits and navigational instincts. There are no checkpoints, no aid stations, and no digital assistance. Just the landscape, the challenge, and the satisfaction of finding the way home. It's designed for experienced runners seeking something beyond standard road races — a test of mental resilience as much as physical fitness. Teams are welcome, though the navigation challenge remains the same: get back under your own steam.
