About this event
The Ston Wall Marathon takes runners along Europe's longest preserved fortification walls, where ancient stone paths meet Adriatic coastal views. The flagship 42k follows the historic ramparts, while shorter 15k and 4k options let newcomers experience this unique setting without the full marathon distance. Beyond the running, the event celebrates Croatian heritage with medals carved from local stone and sculptures for top finishers. The day wraps up with a traditional feast and live music, making it as much a cultural experience as an athletic one. Three distance options mean there's a challenge suited to most fitness levels, though the 42k demands solid preparation given the stone surface and undulating terrain.
