Rye Summer 5k Series, Race Five

The final race of the Rye Summer 5k Series takes runners through Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, a beautiful coastal conservation area where shingle ridges meet saltmarsh and reed beds. The flat course follows paths through this varied landscape, with views across saline lagoons and intertidal grazing areas. Coastal winds can make it interesting, but when conditions are kind, the terrain favours quick times. The series has built a reputation for its welcoming race-day atmosphere, and this September finale includes a 1km junior option alongside the main 5k, making it a nice event for families. It's a chance to close out summer with a run through one of Britain's most distinctive natural settings.
