About this event
The Rothwell Kebabathon offers four road distances through the countryside around Leeds, starting from the eco-friendly Skelton Lake Services. Routes wind through Rothwell Country Park, with water stations every five kilometres and supportive marshals throughout. Distances range from 10.8 kilometres for those building confidence to the full 42.2-kilometre marathon for seasoned runners, with a 21.1-kilometre half and 32.2-kilometre option in between. After finishing, runners receive a bespoke medal and can relax with refreshments while sharing stories. Free parking is available, with car sharing encouraged to minimise the event's environmental impact.
