Ölands Kyrkstafett

Ölands Kyrkstafett brings teams together on Sweden's largest island for a relay with over 40 years of history. Starting from the harbor square in Färjestaden, teams tackle either the full 67.8 km course (split into eleven legs) or the shorter 23.5 km route (six legs). Each stage ranges from just under 3 km to about 8.5 km, making it accessible for mixed-ability squads. The atmosphere is warm and communal, with volunteers supporting transitions throughout and everyone gathering for a shared meal at the finish. It's less about individual glory and more about the collective effort—though top teams do earn prizes alongside the finisher's medal every participant receives.
