About this event
Les Blanquefortaises brings road running to the charming town of Blanquefort, just north of Bordeaux. Set in the heart of the Médoc wine region, this October event offers three distances that suit different ambitions — from a gentle 4.5km to a solid 12km and up to a full 20km route. The courses roll through relatively flat terrain with minimal elevation, making it ideal for chasing personal bests or testing race pace. Runners can expect well-organized urban routes that wind through historic streets and surrounding areas. The event captures that welcoming French road racing atmosphere, where serious runners and weekend warriors share the same start line. Perfect timing too, with autumn temperatures in southwest France still mild enough for strong performances.
