La Festivale de Thann offers a varied running experience in the Alsace region, where vineyard-covered slopes meet the foothills of the Vosges Mountains. The event caters to different ambitions, from a gentle 5km route through town to an 11km course that ventures into the surrounding hills. The main 23km trail climbs significantly higher, weaving through forested paths with over 1,300 meters of elevation gain. While the road distances provide accessible options for those testing their legs, the terrain becomes more demanding on the longer route. The historic town of Thann, with its Gothic collegiate church and timber-framed houses, provides a charming backdrop for the start and finish.
