About this event

The Kavala Trail Run takes runners into the hills above the historic port city of Kavala in northeastern Greece. Set in the Horafa area, this March event offers two distances that explore the region's rugged terrain — a 13-kilometre route with nearly 500 metres of climbing and a 27-kilometre course that gains over 1,000 metres. The trails wind through Mediterranean landscapes where ancient pathways meet coastal views. Early spring timing brings comfortable running temperatures and the chance to experience the Greek countryside as it awakens from winter. Both routes provide a genuine trail experience in a region less traveled by the international running circuit, combining technical climbs with sweeping views over the Aegean.
