Kalnik Trail

About this event

Set in the Kalnik hills of central Croatia, this trail event starts and finishes at the atmospheric Stari grad Kalnik fortress. Runners can choose from three distances — 6km with 287m of climbing, 14km with 677m, or 27km with 1,129m — each weaving through rocky ridges and forested terrain that showcases the region's rugged character. The shortest route offers a genuine introduction to trail running, while the 27km provides a solid challenge with its steady accumulation of elevation. Part of the KontinenTrail League, the event features well-stocked aid stations and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it particularly suited to runners taking their first steps beyond road racing.
