Iron Backbone Ultra

Iron Backbone Ultra takes runners through the forested hills surrounding Kristinehamn in central Sweden. The course weaves between technical singletrack, forest roads and scenic viewpoints, offering a proper taste of Swedish wilderness. Two distances are on offer — 35 kilometres with 430 metres of climbing, and the full 49-kilometre challenge with 641 metres of elevation. The November timing adds an extra layer of Nordic atmosphere, with the possibility of frost-touched trails and crisp autumn air. A solid choice for experienced runners seeking an authentic trail experience in Sweden's quieter landscapes.
