Hässelby Run

About this event

Hässelbyloppet stands as one of Sweden's most storied 10-kilometre road races, tracing its roots back to 1915. The course winds through the residential neighbourhoods of northwest Stockholm — Hässelby, Grimsta, Råcksta, and Vällingby — on a fast, flat route that has helped runners chase personal bests for over a century. While the race attracts elite athletes hunting records (the current marks stand at 29:21 and 33:02), it welcomes recreational runners of all abilities just as warmly. There's even a dedicated youth 10-kilometre event, making this an ideal autumn fixture for Stockholm's running community. The combination of historic pedigree, accessible terrain, and urban setting creates an energetic race day atmosphere that feels both competitive and genuinely inclusive.
