The Jurassic Coast earned its World Heritage status for good reason — runners traverse millions of years of geological history along dramatic clifftop trails, all with the ocean stretching out beside them. The Dorset coastline serves up relentless, challenging terrain where those ancient layers translate into serious elevation. Four distances cater to different ambitions, from a 10K introduction to the coast's character, through a half marathon, up to full marathon and ultra options for those seeking a genuine test. The technical paths and exposed sections demand respect and preparation, but reward runners with some of Britain's most spectacular coastal views. This is trail running in its purest form — raw, beautiful, and unforgiving.
