Set in the Sowie Mountains of southwestern Poland, Diabelskie Koło gór Suchych offers a Halloween weekend challenge across rugged terrain. Three demanding routes—22km with 1,322m of climbing, 45km with 3,130m, and 67km with 3,964m—tackle the forested slopes and rocky ridges of this lesser-known range. The historic health resort village of Sokołowsko serves as basecamp. All routes feature substantial elevation that requires solid mountain experience and fitness. Late October brings crisp mountain air and potentially dramatic weather, with the possibility of early winter conditions at higher elevations. This is trail running for those who appreciate remote, technical terrain and serious vertical gain.
