Cannock Chase Forest offers a summer running experience through ancient woodland, where dappled sunlight filters through the canopy and the forest floor provides natural terrain underfoot. The half marathon suits intermediate runners looking for a solid woodland challenge, while the 10K welcomes those newer to off-road running. Both routes wind through the forest trails, with enough technical sections to keep things interesting without being intimidating. The course has built a loyal following over the years, partly thanks to the volunteer marshals who know the trails well and create a supportive atmosphere from start to finish.
