About this event
The Bord na Móna Tullamore Half Marathon stands out as one of Ireland's most respected road races, blending serious competition with genuine community warmth. Hosted by Tullamore Harriers AC in County Offaly, this event doubles as the National, Leinster, and Offaly Half Marathon Championships, attracting elite athletes and club runners from across the country. The 21.1km course winds through the quiet countryside roads of Mucklagh, Killurin, and Cloonagh, mixing flat, fast stretches with gentle undulations before culminating in a memorable stadium finish at Tullamore Harriers. Closed roads, solid marshalling, and enthusiastic local support create an atmosphere that feels both professional and welcoming — a rare combination that keeps runners returning year after year.
