Set in the heart of Bedgebury National Forest, this winter trail race takes runners through ancient pines and varied woodland terrain. The course weaves along singletrack paths and wider forest trails, with enough roots and turns to keep things interesting. Two distances cater to different experiences: the 5-mile route offers a solid introduction to forest running, while the 10-mile option provides a more substantial challenge through the same beautiful setting. The forest atmosphere and fellow runners create a welcoming vibe on race day. With a junior race running alongside the main event, families often make a day of it. Expect proper trail conditions — when it's been wet, the mud adds character to the adventure.
