Båstad Marathon

Running along Sweden's Bjäre Peninsula the Saturday after Midsummer, the Båstad Marathon has earned its reputation as one of the country's most scenic road races. Organized by Joy Runners löparklubb since 2010, the event weaves through coastal views and countryside charm, with distances ranging from a 10.5km quarter marathon to the full 42km. The marathon and relay routes start and finish at Båstad Harbour, while the half marathon begins in the coastal village of Torekov. The midsummer timing means long daylight hours and (hopefully) pleasant Nordic summer weather, making it a lovely destination race for those who appreciate Scandinavian landscapes and a well-organized community event.
