The ATW Hatfield 5 follows a lightning-fast course that recorded the third quickest 5-mile time in the UK back in 2022. Starting from the University of Hertfordshire campus, the route joins the Alban Way, a popular local path winding through Hatfield. With just 3 metres of elevation gain over the full distance, the course features long straights and sweeping bends that help runners settle into a steady rhythm. The flat profile attracts competitive runners chasing fast times, but the welcoming atmosphere and well-organized setup make it equally suited to newcomers tackling their first 5-mile race. Finishers receive custom medals, free race photos, and post-race refreshments.
