Finlandia Ski Marathon
About this event
The Finlandia Ski Marathon is Finland's flagship cross-country skiing event, drawing thousands of skiers from over 30 countries to Lahti each February. As Finland's only Worldloppet race since 1978, it offers both classic and skate-skiing options across distances from 20km to the full 62km marathon. The course winds through snow-draped forests and open fields between Lahti and Hollola, with immaculate grooming and infrastructure befitting a world-class event. Starting and finishing at the historic Lahti Ski Stadium—home to iconic ski jumping towers—the atmosphere buzzes with live music and enthusiastic crowds. Since 1974, this race has welcomed everyone from elite skiers to royalty, cementing its place as a cornerstone of Nordic skiing culture. It's a serious test for experienced skiers seeking a true Finnish winter challenge.
